For this EP, I recorded five cover songs by Zero 7, Minnie Riperton, Massive Attack, The S.O.S. Band and Yuna. All music was recorded live in front of cameras. These songs being a fundamental inspiration to me as a musician, I picked them from five decades of soul and electronic music. I stripped the songs down to their bare essentials and recorded the renditions with - mostly - only piano and vocals. Occasionally I use TC-Helicon VoiceLive 2 to colour with vocal harmonies. As a result, the lyrics of these songs really stand out and you can get a better sense of their depth and meaning.
